Commissioned by Macanese journal Books and the City*, the illustration is to celebrate the neighbourhood library in Macau, China.

Both the facade and the interior were severely damaged during the super typhoon, Hato, which hit Macau in August, 2017.

The image was published on August 23rd, 2018, the first anniversary of Typhoon Hato.
